7900 xtx under volting suscess, 3-400 watts down to 200+

I noticed that the AMD Adrenalin software showed the card running at 800+ mv, Watts 300-400+, Hot spot 80-90s C.

Which I did not like so I looked up undervolting and in the Tuning
area I was able to turn the 800+ mv down to 700+ mv.

The Watts dropped to 200+ and the Hot spot dropped to the 60s C.
The same fps and I’m much happier with the temps!

Good to hear, has this helped with the performance in the app at all with some of the models as well?

@j.mcleod curious to know the exact Adrenalin settings if you’d be able to share them?

I’ve only been using the “Rhea” model,(it’s WONDERFUL)
with the down volt from 800 something mv to 700 something mv
The fps is the same, before and after.

The 700,800 mv is what the Adrenalin software says Topaz is using.
Had to set normal setting for each game as they crash with my Topaz settings

(any idea exactly what part of the GPU Rhea uses)

My topaz Adrenalin setting (25.3.1)…

The main thing for me is the Voltage (mV) slider, It is an “offset” on the mVs
Some of the tutorials show the slider listed as an “offset” mine does NOT.
I set the mV slider to 1100 and got the…
Power drop 300-400 something watts to 200 something watts
Hot spot drop degrees C from 80-90s to 65 C
(good enough for me!)

Rhea gets (dvd mpgs) 8-10 fps as it always has.

I can OC my 16 core CPU up to 4300Mhz for a 5% gain…
Not worth the heat/power load.

Ok, can not upload my Adrenalin xml settings file…so the hard way…
