I recently bought this ai for upscaling my videos to 4k for instagram. i tried it multiple times today, but i havent seen any difference between my old video ( HD ) and the upscaled one ( 4k). i do not know which ai i should use and which parameters are best ( im doing car videos mybe this helps).
What’s the point in 4K on something that’s only really viewed on a mobile device? According to that small experiment, no one can tell.
I also found this one.
I remember some images going around social media that were supposed to display something else if your phone had a higher resolution screen. I can’t seem to find any articles saying that that’s something people need or even want.
So, to the question at hand, if it looks good in FHD it will look good on every mobile device. Maybe that’s why you cannot tell the difference?
You’re uploaded sample video has a resolution of
Width: 2160
Height: 3840
4k is 2160 pixels high, so this sample is not 4k, you have to rotate the video by 90 degrees but what you definitely don’t want to do with this content. Instagram does support FullHD (1080p) max, so 4k uploads gets downscaled or croped.
Downscale you’re video to 608 x 1080 and upload it and see what happens. If it gets croped, add black bars left and right it fits 1080 x 1080 or go to 4:3 1440 x 1080 or 1920x1080 by adding black bars and upload this to instagram
