2 issues with starlight

Hi. Still new to 7.0.1 and starlight. I am liking the results, but as everyone says,starlight is slow. That is fine for me, but I am running into 2 issues.

  1. no matter where I put the GPU memory settings in preferences, while starlilght is running my OS is buggy. Scrolling on websites, opening and closing programs,etc. I reboot every time I make a change, but it still seems to affect my non-TVAI PC usage.

  2. I will queue up a couple of different clips, under different projects. It seems like it only does the first one I select, even though clips are waiting in the export queue. For instance I set up 2 exports before going to work today and when I got home at 5pm it showed the first one was competed at 12:30 and the second clips was still “estimating” and the model still said “loading”.

Any thoughts?

Also, maybe it’s just me, but it would be nice if there was just one queue for exports like the older version of TVAI. It seems cumbersome to have to click on each project header to see the export queue for each project.

  1. Starlight is definitely one of the heavier models, so it’s not unusual to see some slowdown in other apps while it’s running. If you’re able to, letting the app run without multitasking can help a lot.
  2. For the queue issue: queuing multiple exports from different projects can confuse the export system. Right now, the best way to queue up multiple clips is to add them all within the same project where all the exports will live in the same queue.
