1000W are not enough for 5090 and RHEA

Not really an issue or bug per se, but I recently got my 5090 and thought I was good with my 1000W Dark Power BeQuiet! Titanium PSU. Far from it. As soon as I launched RHEA, the PSU shut my system off. A couple of times, actually.
So I upgraded to a 1300W PSU. Now all is good.

However, the performance increase from 4090 to 5090 is not as big as I would have guessed. Same exact settings, same footage, Rhea 4X. 4090 = 1m59s → 5090 = 1m37s
It´s within the ballpark of 20%-30% improvement I´d expect from the card… but somehow I thought it would outperform by a larger margin.

Adjust the power curve via msi afterburner according to my tips to be found here in the fourms somewhere. On my 4090 it runs 10 °C cooler, eats 25-30 % less power and is a little bit faster.

What kind of cable do you use?

This is interesting, 1000W should be enough, the 5090 takes 575W there are 425W left for CPU and the rest, but who knows there are some power peaks.

pends on your input I ordered the 1300W Platinum PSU “MSI MEG Ai1300P” for a very interesting Amazon price of 205€/238US$ today (was the last one), it’s for my upcoming 5090…damm Starlight mini ruins me!

I saw specifications somewhere in a YT video, but I forgot where it was. So the specs says the 600W connector can take more than 600W Peak for max 100 Milliseconds. I think pending on PSU this could be a problem or not.
