[White flash] - Software will not open

To those having the issue, I would recommend posting your dxdiag:
How To Obtain Your System Profile (Windows) - Topaz Labs
and the log files:
C:\ProgramData\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Photo AI\Logs

During my remote session the supports guys said that they are starting to see quite a few people having this issue, but they’re not totally sure what causes it. Providing them with data from affected machines will perhaps it will help them to see a pattern.

Just a waiting game at present, if it does go on much longer I do hope Topaz will consider extending our subscription, as its been 23 days since reporting it, but much longer since I was affected by it (I didn’t have time to troubleshoot prior).

I’m seeing this exact same error. When I spam open the app a couple dozen times I noticed an alert box with an error “Could not open one or more images due to unsupported file types.”.

I’ve tried uninstalling and resetting the windows registry. I did a file search for “Topaz” in File Explorer and deleted everything that came up. This bug has prevented me from using the last few versions of Topaz Photo AI.

Yes I do too, kinda defeats the purpose of the subscription if we can’t update.

I am having the same problem too. I am on 2.4.2 because the issue of DNG writing issue on Capture One with the recent versions, when I tried 3.2.1, the same problem happened to me, now stay with version 2.4.2.

Same for me on 3.2.1. The software will still not open.

Everyone… just an update. So I took the step and upgraded my Windows to Windows 11 hoping that the problem with just a quick flash of a white box on the screen and then nothing with their software.
Well… it didn’t work. Same damn problem. Uninstalled Topaz once again and thankfully version 3.04 still works and at least I can work with that for now. TOPAZ - hopefully you will not end of life version 3.0 because it’s the only one some of us are able to use. I’ve tried everything that was suggested and still your current version isn’t working.

Obviously something in the code when you went to 3.1 was seriously changed. Up until 3.04, all your updates were excellent.

I hope you come up with a solution soon… VERSION 4.0???

In the meantime, I am a Adobe Lightroom / Photoshop user and I have communicated to them if they can come up with a solution to fix blur and focus issues using AI. Allegedly they are working on a plug in.

3.2.2 does not resolve this issue.
