Where'd the sound go?

[If you are posting a new bug, please include the following]

  1. The bug / behavior you have encountered

In upscaling a Stargate episode, suddenly Video AI has stopped copying the soundtrack. I went back to another episode I’d already done, and the new rendering also has no sound, though it did the first time.

Try changing the codec setting audio mode to “convert”

No change.

Can you send the updated logs and the original and exported file with no audio?

Done. The .mkv is the original; the .mp4 is the processed result.

Further note: I tried with a completely different file, and it worked. So the problem must be the way that episode’s audio codec is embedded, or something like that.

Aha! The problem was the Artemis enhancement model. When I tried different models, the audio track came through.

Hi Paul, sorry I missed this! Just getting around to it, could you let me know the file name that was uploaded to my dropbox? I’d like to run some tests and see why Artemis is the only model causing the lack of audio with the export. Thanks!

Audio mode: copy
Previews never have audio while Exports do, right?

Previews in the latest versions of the app now have audio. Make sure it’s not muted. If the audio is on and you are not hearing anything, try changing the audio mode from copy to convert as this can be a sign of format issues.
