use the free MkvToolNixGUI tool to add the original sound layer to the processed video. :slight_smile:

I never trust any video editing software with the audio and always add the audio back in from the original source.

I’ve had nothing but problems with VEAI’s handling of audio, regardless of which algorithm I pick. For this reason, I let VEAI deal with the video. When that’s done, I use mkvtoolnix to remux the file with the audio tracks from the source (not the VEAI processed) file. I found that VEAI either loses the sync or it downgrades the audio quality to something lossy at lower bitrate.
