what is the difference in proteus between auto and relative to auto and manual

  • Auto = uses a machine learning model to guestimate the best slider values for you automatically by looking at some of your frames (predictive hyper-parameter optimization, provided by the TVAI prap model)
  • Relative to Auto = same as Auto, but adds an offset to the values “guessed” as good for your clip (I.e. aded to the output from the prap3 model). So if you add say +10 to some slider, then it will add +10 to whatever the Auto-analysis keeps on estimating and re-estimating as the clip is being processed.
  • Manual = Doesn’t try to guess any slider values for your clip. Instead will go with exactly the values you specify, for the entire clip.

just to add a bit of clarification to the Relative Auto that @jojje described, any slider that is left at “0” would be “Auto” mode for that part of the enhancement and it is not as might be perceived as disabling this parameter or apply “0” correction on that parameter.
