Weird time code/time line behavior in 1.6.1

I’ve seen two issues in 1.6.1 that occur on both my M4 MacBook Air and my nVidia 2080 PC when navigating clips in the Project screen with a 720p clip, 29.97 frame rate:

  1. If you go to 03:59:29 and press right arrow it jumps to 4:00:02. Only happens at the minute mark. Edit: This one seems to be linked to zoom level as well; it’s worst when viewing the whole time line and mitigates and disappears as you zoom in.
  2. Pick an arbitrary location (1:30:20) and click on Mark In and the cursor will move back two to eight frames (1:30:12) and place the mark. I just noticed that zooming in seems to reduce the jump - if you’re zoomed in enough it stops jumping, so I’m willing to bet the issue is related to the timeline zoom somehow. Also note that this doesn’t happen 100% of the time, but at least 70-80%, so it’s reliably reproducible. I also attempted to Clear In/Out before setting the Mark In, but the behavior still occurred.

As far as I can tell these issues did not exist prior to 1.6.1 (probably a regression from other changes).

Hope this helps!

The cursor jump was seen before in previous versions and is being looked into within the MPV player and the timeline. I will pass along a note to the devs that you are seeing it again in 1.6.1 on both systems and it is worse when zoomed out.

Thanks! I hadn’t noticed it in prior versions, but I’ve been using the Mark In/Out to do Starlight Precise rendering in chunks, so I’ve been using it much more heavily of late.
