VST Plugins / basic audio optimization

It would be useful to be able to normalize audio and have a channel mixer. If VST plugins would be accepted, I could use the RX suite to optimize audio the same way Topaz Video AI does it with the image.

Neither Topaz nor Isotope RX can output to DTS or AC-3, so this request has a lot of work to be done by both companies to even start to be a useful possibility.
My opinion of isotope is about as low as it gets because they charge mountains of money for their products, and they’re not as good as cheap or free tools that can do the same things.

I don’t get the point why AC3 or DTS has something to do with VST-plugins. AC3 or DTS are output formats, the plugins work in the processing chain. You can easily convert the output from Topaz to ac3 or DTS.

Define ‘easily’. I’ve only found one program that can convert to DTS, and it’s not a CLI so I cannot automate the process of using it with TVAI.
The point I want to make is that all Blu-rays and DVDs are in those audio formats. Playback compatibility is ubiquitous. Can you really say you’ve enhanced the audio if it’s not able to be in the format it started out in?

I don’t understand abbreviations because english is not my mother tongue. What is CLI?
I see what you mean, but Topaz is not a dedicated encoder. DTS is a licence requiring format. This would increase the cost for Topaz Video AI unnecessarily. Tmpeg-encoder can at least be used for ac3.
Maybe we have different use cases. We digitize old videos and S8. A simple possibility to tweak some audio properties like level or channel mix would help us much.

CLI is command line interface. Useful for script.

Ok, thank you.
