why is it said like its a new feature

In pervious version VEAI, VRAM usage is limited to max 12GB .

GPU VRAM optimizations are currently set at MAX VRAM of around 12GB, so if you have a card that is greater than 12GB in VRAM, run multiple instances on the same GPU for better throughput.

For example, 3090 have 24GB VRAM and set VRAM usage to MAX , in pervious version VEAI still won’t use more than 12GB.

Now the VRAM Max value is depends on user hardware.
