Video AI 7 crash on startup

Hi everyone
I just upgraded to v7 and can’t get the app to open properly. After entering my license info whenever I start the app it closes automatically every time after just 2 seconds. All previous version were working perfectly. Anyone else having this problem?

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

It’s not possible, the app crashes just 2 seconds after launch, not enough time to do that.
Regardless, I’ve just emailed you the most recent tzlog file I found on the logs folder, hope this helps.

I was trying different 4090 drivers this morning and one of them gave me this issue. Maybe try different ones. I’m rolling back to VAI6 due to other issues for now.

Hi, I have the same problem. I am able to access support logs but when I attempt to open a video to edit/render, it crashes. I have sent logs etc to Topaz but still unable to use. I have tried re-installing v7, ensuring all drivers up to date etc but no luck.

Same here, crashes on Startup. Funny enough… only when I am logged in.

After a few email exchanges with Topaz Labs, the sending of logs, program reinstalls, gpu driver rollbacks, etc the only solution they could offer me for now is to stick with 6.2.0 until they can fix v7, it seems other users are having this same issue.

Hmm, Davinci Resolve began crashing on startup after I installed AI video 6.2.0, so I uninstalled it and Resolve worked perfectly again. I read other people where having this problem.
Haven’t tried to reproduce this problem with other AI Video versions though…

how do you downgrade to an older version

I’m having the exact same problem with Topaz Video 7, it crashes a second or two after launch. For me, going offline seems to cause it.

Online, it launches and okay. It is activated. If I then go offline and launch it then it opens for approx 1 second, then instantly closes. Every time. I have no internet where I work, so this is massive issue for me.

By the way, 7.01 still crashes on startup on my W11 machine. Works perfectly on my Mac though
