I have updated to Video AI 7.1.3 and the preview is no longer working nor is the frame strip at the bottom showing you the frames in the video.
The conversion works and projects load, but when you do the preview it just shows the same image as the original, even if tagged with the AI preview (e.g. Iris Medium).
I have updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest studio (580.97) and have an ASUS Laptop running windows 11 with Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics and a P7 12th gen processor (hyperthreading turned off).
This has happened a few times during updates and I keep updating the graphics card driver to try and take that out of the equation. Don’t want to roll back again to 7.1.0. or earlier.
If you are seeing a black preview screen it is most likely due to a driver or settings issue with the GPU card.
Let’s do a clean install of the latest Studio Driver for your GPU card from the NVIDIA drivers update page to ensure there is not a missing packet.
Then, restart the computer and let’s open the Nvidia settings panel and check on the FXAA setting. We will want to turn that off so that it does not interference with the MPV player in the app.
Thank you for the quick response. I have re-installed again and checked the settings with the Nvidia app, mine look like the snapshot below which seems to match your suggestion.
I have re-launched Topaz and now I can see the strip at the bottom and preview.
Not sure if the install had not worked the first time or if I needed a couple of restarts to bed in. It works anyway.
