RAM speed is key. I recently upgraded from DDR4 3200 to DDR5 6400 and achieved almost 2x boost with the same 13900KF and 9070XT. Even the MB was a DDR5 version of the same MB.
I ran that on a spare computer just to test the 9070xt. Its crazy how much it out performed my work computer with a 14900k and a 5070.
I plan on building a better comp when i sell my old 4070 and the spare comp.
Which CPU will you choose?
i9-14900k probably
upgrade memory from DDR5 6400 CL40(OC) to DDR5 6600 CL32(OC)
good small effect.
not enough to my expected.

your 2X and 4X results, which depend on RAM speed to a good extent, weren’t bad before. If you want maximum RAM performance, you need to buy expensive pre-selected and tuned high-end RAM or u need to tweak sub-timings yourself (only works on RAM modules with specific kind of chips). Still, you would probably only see 5% more performance over your current results.
Otherwise u should try version 6.2 because v6.1.3 doesn’t include RTX 5000 optimizations, which shows in your 1X results.
just another note, benchmarks don’t translate to real world use. I’m running proteus right now and I’m only getting 10-11 fps -_-
Still got a little more tweaking to do but the rebuilt PC with the 9070 XT is kicking some butt so far. This is with a well-tuned DDR5 6000 config. Working on a good DDR5 8200 config to test next. Has to be the best band for the buck card for Video AI right now. This one cost me $720.

I agree about best bang for the buck! I want to build a PC just for this app and I’m thinking of the 9070 XT.
