Yeah, that old build from late 2020 is still capable of producing around 60% fps of my main build, so it can still help me speed up my upscale vaulting process daily. 
I also have M1 Pro base model MBP but the performance on MacOS is not as good as Intel CPU + Nvidia build; only M2 Ultra or maybe M4 Ultra next year can compete with.
