Some videos, especially older ones, have variable frame rates. for example, the frame rate can vary from 10 frames per second to 15 or 20. It would be great if Topaz video could make a variable frame rate into a constant frame rate.
This would definitely be helpful. Sometimes DJI footage, and even cellphone footage (maybe just from Filmic Pro?) is variable frame rate, and it doesn’t work properly in Adobe Premiere. It previews fine in Premiere, but when I export it’s freezes those sections of footage randomly.
This would be ultra useful in so many ways.
I’m honestly surprised this isn’t possible already… Apps like Shutter Encoder on macOS support converting VFR to CFR, so it’d be awesome to see Topaz Video AI be able to handle it. Currently, when you import a VFR video and try to interpolate the frame rate to 30 or 60 frames per second, the output video is also variable frame rate, which isn’t super helpful for any professional editing use. Unfortunately having to convert to CFR before bringing it in to Topaz Video AI is required…
because I’m not a Avisynth script man I convert VFR to CFR into Avidemux, there exist builtin filter “Resample” it does this by copy frames. Set original fps or enter new custom fps, everything here generates CFR and duration does not change. Note: When you enter lower fps value than original is, then the filter drop frames. I agree having this into TVAI would be very nice!
