V6.0.1 - Where did the real-time option go?

Last time I ran VAI, there was a real-time option that worked well enough to preview what to expect during final render, but I cannot find it anymore (v 6.0.1).

As a matter of fact, nothing seems to preview anymore between left and right sides in Split View, like it used to when changing models, so how am I supposed to preview what’s about to happen now?

Am I being daft?

Once you set a model or enhancement on a clip in a tab window, hit the space bar and it will start rendering a preview. To cancel that preview hit the space bar again.

yes, that I know, but there was a “new” real-time mode that allowed playback of the timeline with the effect of the model visible without first having to render it…depending on ones CPU/GPU, the frame-rate would dynamically change, but on my M3 Max, I usually got 3-4 frames per second, good enough to use it to decide what model/settings worked best.

Where did that toggle/feature go?

So, was I hallucinating such a feature, or if not, where did it go?

No, you’re correct. I dropped my license for a while, came back in version 5.x and found I could no longer see the frames as they were rendered. 6 is even worse, imo. I’m regretting renewing my license.

So, you’re saying the feature was there but was taken out again? If so, any reason why?

Didn’t they also take out the loop playback feature? (I haven’t been following VAI development as closely as I used to, lately, due to another project that monopolized me for the past 6-8 months)

“Live Render” is still there, it just doesn’t have a button on the UI to enable/disable it now. It just starts when you hit play after you’ve set an enhancement.

It was still rendering in the background then, as it is now. It wasn’t truly “realtime” before.
