I’ve just updated to v3.3.1 and I can import mkvs and mp4s to the input area, but that’s all. I can’t get them into the preview area, there’s no picture or timeline in the work area which is totally blank. If I double-click any of the videos I’ve added to the Input area they open and play just fine in my external player (VLC). I’ve restarted the PC - no change.
Are you using a modified preset that you saved ?
If so select none as preset, run any video clip as preview.
Close everything down and re-open and select your preset.
Thanks menditsa, that sorted it. I wonder why a modified preset should have such a major effect. I now see that others had the same issue.
I cannot apply my original preset. It always shows (Modified). Yes, I changed some parameters, but did not save them - now I want to apply my original preset. But this is not possible anymore…
Please add a function to reset the whole application. If presets are stored online on your servers, please give access to them to delete or modify these files.
Easy to fix if you search for 2 mins.

Topaz seperated the video and audio into seperate json files in 3.3.1, prior they where all in one.
Release notes did state this and what I have written is just to clarify to others what to do more clearly to solve this issue.

If you select no preset and choose manually your settings does the program work ?
Are you a Mac or Windows user ?
I work with Windows 11 Pro.
Hmm I think the program works. But I can’t call a preset without the note (Modified). When I open the program again and select my preset, everything is messed up - also my stored Audio settings in the preset are lost.

May I suggest you use Revo Uninstaller Free to remove Topaz then do a fresh install.
And hopefully this will work for you.
Yes, this Version is not usable. Maybe these constant updates are not a good idea. Bugfixes are OK but constantly circling the whole program is actually nonsense. I’ll keep that in mind in the future and will now find out which former Version works good for me and stay with it without any updates. I remember the good old days of Version 2 …

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging and make sure that there is a check mark next to File Logging. Next, recreate the issue and then return to the Help menu and select > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.
