Uses jpeg profile instead of develop settings

Photo AI uses original camera’s jpeg preview profile rather than profile used in the Develop setting.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Take RAW image with a B&W preview (on Nikon, Image Quality → RAW; Set Picture Control → MC)
  2. Import to LR Classic and in Develop edit with Adobe Standard v2 profile
  3. Files → Plugins and Extras → Process with Topaz Photo AI. The image will come up as B&W. Saving to LR will save it as B&W.

Creating virtual copies before processing in Topaz doesn’t help.

You are absolutely correct. It’s been doing this to images I shot in raw and JPEG with my Lumix camera set to B&W since v2.0.5 (v2.0.4 and prior handled them perfectly). I’ve reported this three times now with no response or improvement.

Bump. Bug is still present in version 2.2.1.

I raised a support request for this. According to Topaz, PAI is behaving correctly - if this were true then every other piece of software on the planet, including PAI up to and including v2.0.4, is displaying images incorrectly which I find difficult to believe.
