Upscale x1 issue

I’m on v3.0.4. When I use Upscale 1x, the output file size is significantly reduced to nearly half the original jpg file size. I have increased the slider to 100% so would expect the file size to be retained but it’s not. Please advise.

Steps to reproduce issue:

1. Step 1 - choose Upscale
2. Step 2 - set scale to 1x
3. Step 3 - set output file type to jpeg, quality slider to 100%
4. Step 4 - Press Save
5. Step 5 - note on next screen that it says file goes from (original) 15.8 Mb to ~14 something Mb
6. Step 6 - check file saved and it says file size is 9Mb

I was not able to replicate this on my machine but would like more information as to the workflow you are using while this issue occurs.

Would you please take a screen recording of this behavior so I can see exactly what is happening?
