Upscale/downscale - version 3.2.0

How do I upscale/downscale photos now in version 3.2.0? I haven’t used Photo AI for a while now & I can’t figure out how to do it. Thanks.

I have a similar problem, the upscale option does not allow to set a specific magnification, in other words, no upscaling possible in the newest version of photo ai

Are you using Photo AI as a standalone application or as a plugin?

Usually as a plugin in photoshop

I usually use Photo AI as a Lightroom plugin.

Hi Frank, that’s the same problem I have.

There is no longer 1x or 2x or the like in the latest version?

@Frank5678

Which Photoshop plugin path are you using:

  • File > Automate > Topaz Photo AI
  • Filter > Topaz Labs > Topaz Photo AI

Note: The Filter Plugin does not allow upscaling and cropping.

@gbrennermail

Which Lightroom Classic plugin are you using:

  • The RAW plugin, accessed through File > Plug-in Extras > Process with Topaz Photo AI
  • The External Editor plugin, accessed through Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI

@rhee.bevere

You can set the Scale option to either 1x or 2x.

I mostly use the filter option. I was not aware that some options are deactivated when Photo AI is used as a filter. Thank you for your support!

I’m not sure who I’m responding to, but the most recent screen shot, (or picture), shows what I was doing wrong. I didn’t click on the “Add enhancements” tab to reveal the upscaling info. I was thinking that tab was for finalizing the edits. Took me a while & I feel stupid, but now I get it. Thanks John and/or Rhee!

I wish I could - the plug in doesn’t have the option. Ah, I just saw…that’s not an option in the filter. Good to know! I’ll take down the bug report.
Curious, could it be in future releases? It’s an extra step for me now to open everything I’ve done a second time just to upscale. For the record, these are old digital files my clients want enlarged for a new wedding album.
