I am having this exact same issue. In event viewer I see “resource exhaustion” and looking at logs TopazAI is consuming over 50gb combined system memory and virtual memory when it crashes.

I used to process the same files (and have now tried 3 different videos to be sure) and I crash 100% of the time after a few hours of processing.

Please fix this Topaz team. This is the 4th breaking issue I’ve had this year, I’d like to get a license extension if possible as I have lost weeks upon weeks of processing time due to bugs in Topaz this year.

i got those red cross errors too often especially when I run a game at the same time either the game or video a. i. crashed some time after. the issue disappeared when i set a temperature limit of 80 °C for the cpu in the bios. :eyes:

I have been processing successfully for a year without error (except with previous faulty Topaz versions), and the issue popped up after a Topaz update so I am inclined to think it is a problem with the program. Especially given the Windows Event Logs indicating resource exhaustion… Topaz has never tried to use 50+ GB of RAM in the past (32gb physical +18gb virtual/swap)

Also the system in question is entirely unused outside of processing in Topaz.

i keep looking for the solution.
Does anyone find out the solution?

You can set some limits in the Preferences>Processing to limit max memory % and max processes that will help keep your GPU from getting overwhelmed. Also stacking more than two AI filters on one clip can cause the memory error messages.
