If you want to turn off Face Detection you don’t need to turn Autopilot off, just Face Detection. Select None in the settings:

The program just started hanging at face detection in auto pilot, after the last update. In another post the beta folks said they were working on it and to turn off face detection. I did turn it off in the press, but it’s still running when I open a photo. It’s a bug.
If you are on Mac delete the plist files for Photo AI.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m a PC gal. I’ll use topaz denoise until they get this sorted.
The user should be able to disable this time-consuming check altogether. It’s annoying to wait 5-10 seconds each time, if I just want to apply a denoise filter. The software shouldn’t need to check for suggestions, when the user doesn’t want suggestions.
