Anyone having TVAI 3.1.x running slower than 3.0.x or 2.6.4 please post the following information below.
CPU, RAM, GPU, VRAM, input resolution, model used, output resolution, fps or slow motion amount, spf/total time taken in both versions.
If the amount is significant please try reducing the Max Memory setting to around 75% and try again.
Tried with a low end PC.
CPU: I7 7700
RAM: 16gb
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060
VRAM: 6gb
OS: Windows 10
TVAI version: 3.1.0
Model: Proteus v3
Input Resolution: 1080p
Output Resolution: 1080p (only enhancing with relative to auto)
100%: 0.9fps
75%: 0.5fps
Hi, I made a comparison with the same video 720 x 576 50 fps, with artemis medium, a comparison in my original size, and a comparison in x2 upscale, 2.6.4 is much faster, I don’t understand nothing … I tried to lower the vram to 75%, even lower, nothing changes. I have a gtx 1660, a ryzen 7 2700 and 16gb of ram.
I will do some tests tonight with 3.1.1 vs 3.0.12 and post results.
Good news, and some bad news!
Testing complete, in summary, v3.1.1 is faster with Artemis and Proteus Auto (didn’t test other enhancement models) than v3.0.12. However, Chronos Fast performance in v3.1.1 is about 25 to 30% slower, or in the case of a 4k input source, will still crash Windows with a BSOD. Also, I did not get the 4x slowdowns on Chronos Fast that were present on v3.1.0, so performance has improved in v3.1.1 but still lags v3.0.12.

Fortunately, v3.1 is vastly superior here, speed-wise, to the v3.0 series. But why would assigning more memory decrease speed in the first place? Paging?
Change the size of memory does nothing.

Visualisation of Proteus while export
Found the issue here and fixed it. Performance should be 5-25% better than 2.6.4 with todays beta. Looking into others.
In some cases especially for cards with lower vram, swapping from ram to vram happens a lot more leading to slow downs.
Thanks for getting back to me on this one. It’s appreciated.
That means boards + GPUs with both pci-e 4 will be faster.
that’s great! thank you very much!
Updated Numbers with a Intel Nvidia system, just for comparison.
I’ve to retest the AMD sys with the beta, i did turn off Freq-enhance, so tested with lower freq.
