I tried to optimize a 15 second 4K clip because it was noisy.
Output in H264 hight quality.
I have a 12 Gerneration i9 K12900K processor, 32 GB Ram and a NVIDIA GeForce 3070 8 GB
At about 2/3es of the rendering, the computer collapses suddenly and I have to restart.
Edit a video is a bit different. Video a. i. takes your graphics processor and cpu into a continous high load and this maybe for hours. Temperatures of your PC components might rise to high levels.
Editing a video does not put your hardware onto a continous heavy load like video a. i. does. Video a. i. tends to be a bit stressy for the hardware, especially on hot days like today (28 °C at home).
OK I did this. I downloaded it and installed it.
I tried to watch the CPU temperature, but it seems that I do not have the right program for it on my computer.
I test rendered the same file as before, and again, after 2/3 of the rendering, the computer crashed
If you are using Task Manager it is important to note that Task Manager is not the most reliable source of information for GPU and CPU consumption. To get a better idea of how the app is utilizing your GPU, you will want to switch from 3D to Graphics_1.
Can you post your logs?

I used HWMonitor, but could not find the display for the CPU temperatures.
Can you suggest an app for that?
But I think it is very propable, that it shuts off because of heat.
I do not know what you mean with
“switch from 3D to Graphics_1.”
Your initial assumption, that the computer is getting too hot seems to be correct. In light, I was wondering, a slow motion seen in the editing program, videos from Gras, Valley, and here. Also, the computer crashed.
I will try to cool the computer down with a big fan during rendering to see, if that helps to solve the problem.
I dictated the last message and something went wrong.
Here the correct meaning of my last email:
Your initial assumption, that the computer is getting too hot seems to be correct.
Tonight I was rendering a slow motion scene in my editing program, Edius from Grass Valley, and there also, the computer crashed.
I will try to cool the computer down with a big fan during rendering to see, if that helps to solve the problem.
I love the simplicity of pointing the fan at the machine! I am glad that this is reducing the overheating. You can also enable low power mode which should help! This will be found under File > Preferences menu
It was a test with the fan.
I made another test without the fa but with the open computer and also then it did not collapse.
So not a big problem any more.
Thanks for the support.
Greetings
