Topaz Video AI v1.0.1 – File Overwrites and Crashes When Using Custom Presets

[I am writing to report two serious issues I have encountered in the latest version of Topaz Video AI (v1.0.1) on my system.

System configuration:

  • Windows 11 Pro (latest version)

  • Intel Core i7-10700 @ 2.90 GHz

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (latest drivers)

  • 64 GB RAM

Problems observed:

  1. Files are overwritten without confirmation
When exporting videos that share the same file name, the software automatically overwrites existing files without asking for confirmation or showing any warning message. This can easily lead to permanent data loss, especially during batch processing.
In earlier versions, placeholders or confirmation prompts prevented this issue.

  2. Program crash when using custom presets
When I use my own saved presets instead of the built-in ones, the program freezes upon closing. After several seconds, it crashes completely. This issue is reproducible and only occurs when custom presets are used.If you are posting a new bug, please include the following]
