The preview rendering hangs after the on-screen rendering progress information shows the message “processing 0s (0.0 FPS”. Original and result are just the same on the screen.

The logs show that it was still processing, did you let it keep running and did it eventually finish rendering the preview?
Oh yes – in principle it even works! I chose 5 frames for rendering instead of 1 second and now I can wait for the result. For example, if I choose Enhancement –> Nyx model-> Manual –> Estimate and run it, the result appears after two minutes and 10 seconds. Previously, all this worked faster!
For the first 40 seconds, the program uses the computer’s CPU and then also the GPU is used. On the second rendering (I changed the parameters a little), it gave an error message:
- Error message from AI engine: download failed.
- Error message from AI engine: model failed.
I have a slight suspicion that something happened during the program update. I noticed that the window showing the update progress had disappeared from the screen. Exceptionally, I did not see the usual message that the program update was successful. However, the new icon was on the desktop and everything started.
I have reinstalled Video AI using following guidelines:
Download the latest version of Video AI.
Launch that msi file and uninstall the application from there (don’t use add/remove programs).
Reboot.
Go into c:\program files\topaz labs llc\ and delete the entire topaz video AI directory.
Launch the msi file above and install the application.
The installation went very quickly. Any file buffering somewhere?
After activating and trying, the following message appeared:

I uploaded log file to ChatGPT and asked help. ChatGPT guided to the right solution very quickly.
ChatGPT asked to check if useful models are available and there where 0 models! Then ChatGPT asked to check Windows Defender Firewall and there were no permissions for Topaz Video AI. I added useful permissions manually and program begin to work as it worked earlier!

That’s great! Thanks for that update and I’m glad you were able to resolve this by allowing the app to connect to the internet to download the models!
