Topaz Video AI Frame Interpolation is not working in 4.0.9!

Frame Interpolation is not working under any circumstances, any way I am trying to upscale videos and use Topaz Video AI, I am always getting the same result, the video in the original framerate. It does not matter what format I am using, what kind of video, how many videos, frame interpolation is broken in 4.0.9

same issue here - worked ok but with activating interpolation - i get a crappy video with a huge blue - only 1st frame is original and the rest is messed up.
support is rubbish - some lady going on about using incognito browser lol…

I know that it doesn’t help you but it is working for me using v4.0.9. ( 2 x Slow Apollo V8 from 4K 50P to 4k 100P). 10 minutes to process 5 seconds though!

Sorry. It’s working normally for me. I successfully did 4 movies with all 4 models.

Well, I tried it multiple times, it is not working on my end. 7950x + 4090, the video comes out at the original frame rate. Only happens on the new 4.0.9 version, 4.0.8 works normally

I am not sure if slowing down works, the problem is that the videos come out at the same framerate as the original, I want to take one video at 24 fps and upscale it to 60 fps or 120 fps, with no slow down, just increased number of frames, it is not working, it still outputs a video at 24 fps

I found the thing - The feature does not work for processing multiple videos, batch processing. Unfortunately I am never processing a single video, so I need the frame interpolation to work for multiple videos and batch processing…

Ran into this same issue today. I get errors on anything I try to slow down.

Is there a way to roll back to 4.0.8?

OK if I go from 29.97 to 59.94 error add a 2x slow to that and it seems to work but I get way slower video that I want and have to speed it up again in a video editor.

I’m having the same issue, regret upgrading. I can export a single file at a time and it will retain the frame interpolation settings, but if I try to apply it to a batch it always reverts to the original frame rate

You can always reinstall any older version that worked.

Good to know, I’ll give that a shot. Just some more info to fix this issue, I’ve confirmed this is a problem on both windows and mac m1. I’m working with vertical format videos, when I apply a preset with frame rate and export a single video at a time it works properly, when I apply to a batch of videos and hit export it resets to the original fps. When I cancel it stays at the original fps until I reset to the desired frame rate. I’ve tried batches of 3, 10 and 123 videos. All of them reset the frame rate unless exported one at a time.

Same problem here. Hope they fix it soon.

I can offer no help on the batch issue, but have noticed that when working on files in the GUI, copying settings fails to apply Slow, even though the GUI says it will apply slowmo. The workaround is to set the slowmo back to None, run a useless 1sec preview, then set it back to what you want. Switching Frame Interpolation off and on again does not help, it stays promising slowmo but not delivering it.

Sorry not a lot of help, but this might help someone debug.

It ain’t working on 4.1.0 either…
