The application crashed again. Here are the log files:

Worked only once after the update but then back to this.

Stabilization is now 4 hours into a 15 minute .mov. V 3.0.0-4 crashed within 10 minutes (operating time) on the same video. It’s slow (0.9fps), but it looks like it’s going to do the job. Kudos to the devs!

Mac Mini 64GB, 2TB, Monterey 12.6, RX5700XT. Stabilization: jitter, 2 iterations.

Spoke too soon. Processing failed message, happened at about 70% through the input file (about an hour after I first posted).

Will try this file again with Stabilization: Jitter: 1 iteration to see how far it gets. Still, kudos to the devs. There’s clear progress.

Glad to see the ability to work with multiple files. Would like the option of having a list-style display like the old VEAI has.

When exporting to image-files there should be the name of the original video-file in the export list.

I guess the known issue “Aspect ratio crop missing” is the reason for wrong aspect ratios when rendering a DVD 720x576 (SAR 1.42:1) to 1920x1080 (SAR 1:1), right? For some reason the final resolution is then 2730 × 1080 instead of 1920x1080. With Version 3.0 I’m finally able to upscale and sharpen/enhance an interlaced DV source to progressive FullHD in one go which gives way better results from what I can say now. It’s a petty that I can’t use it due to the SAR issue :-/

the option should be named “keep aspect ratio” then. Either you turn it on and will add black bars or it will distord the original footage to match the new parameters.

this is why i never download demo versions of programs or games unfinished stuff that has problems the full version doesnt im on 2.6 still

That’s actually not what I meant. There is no need for black bars in the case describe above. The source is already 16:9 but in anamorphic 720x576. VEAI 2.6.4 is able to render this perfectly to 1920x1080 while 3.0 is not.

VA 3.0.0-5 processing failed several hours into the video file I’m using for test. Stabilization was whole frame, 50, jitter on, 1 iteration. Log follows:

Agreed, this is my second biggest issue with the software, only after the color drastically changing after exporting. making the software useless for any kind of professional workflow.

Please fix the color issues. It feels like the software randomly changes the color space of every clip (or tweaks it a bit every time).

I also bought the whole bundle mainly because of the video option, but I haven’t seen much improvement over the last year.

Looks like it works fine on my desktop AMD with a 6900, however on mobile it crashes at the start. Here is the error log:

Is there no software based H265 encoder option? In the GUI, I only see hardware based H265 encoder (NVIDIA)

Was testing this out yesterday. It crashed overnight but finished processing the video it was working on. Now whenever I try to open the program it opens, but not really. I can see the program on the taskbar and in task manager but I am unable to bring up the window.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. Have also uninstalled, deleted all files in ProgramData and Program Files, then reinstalled still with no luck.

Has anyone else encountered this, is this just early access growing pains? I am disappointed because the Auto Proteus option is awesome and seems to work well for my application.

edit: Tried installing 3.0.0-4 and the same thing happens.

You went backwards…there is a newer beta out now.

Forgive me, but where does one download the new beta?
