Attention: The format for support logs is being changed to include license information (auth.tpz). While this file is encrypted and only useful on your machine, please try to avoid posting it or your support logs here by mistake. This would not likely lead to a problem, but better to be safe than sorry. Please submit any logs directly to our support team or devs.

Known Issues:

  • Currently not all the models are supported on Intel ARC. (Model support will be added week to week).
  • Videos with mismatched metadata and streams will display incorrect duration
  • Frame number preview length may shorten on app restart

Is Linux still Nvidia only in 3.5?

Gonna have to look at getting a new GPU soon and those Intel ARCs are priced pretty well for 16gb cards. Not sure how well they perform or if they really work much at all in Linux, any work on Intel or AMD GPUs on the Linux version?

@martinsawicki let me know if you still have issues with frame interpolation and FPS conversions.

Will do

Can we get clarification on that? Is only Iris-v2 supported, or are other models also supported and Iris-v2 support was just added?

We are working with intel very closely to resolve issues with running models on ARC on their latest frameworks and drivers.
Currently we only have confirmation that Iris-v2 works as expected. We will be making sure all models work one at a time and make necessary changes to make them all work over the next few weeks.
This doesn’t mean that other models do not work, it just means certain models have been confirmed to work correctly.

Support for AMD GPUs on Linux is a little further away. Intel arc should work on Linux but we do not actively test or verify it.

Really? Even with likely lower performance than AMD or Nvidia I can buy 2 ARC 770s for the price of a 4070. I might just pick one up to try it.

I have not fired up Video AI Beta in a while, but when I went to use it I am now getting a watermark. I purged all installs of Video AI (alpha and beta), reinstalled this version, but am still getting the watermark. I checked my license and I am good until spring of next year. I went on the command line and used the videoaiBETA-login tool and confirmed I am getting back a token. It is almost like the token cannot be stored, any ideas?

first 4 frames of any 15fps x4 video that I try are dupes… the rest is good…

“Replace duplicate frames” (or triple or quadruple frames or …) does not work properly. I think on the most sensitive setting it should get rid of any double/triple/quadruple looking… frame and interpolate a nice and smooth motion.

Downloading and do some Un/Installing for this new beta ASAP, thanks again for the attention of this issue! :+1:

EDIT: This is great, I just interpolated a test 30fps vid to 240fps, and very impressive!
In the middle of exporting it now! :+1:

Love the attention towards fixing frame interpolation, testing time! Please consider variable frame rate videos as an input as well - this way we could convert them to the constant frame rate ones with fluid smooth motion!

What the actual %^@!$ ?!

LOL!

I had that happen with nostrils, but yeah, my guess is that it’s much like us when we can make out faces/shapes in the clouds, so it’s matching the eyes to something that it interprets as representing facial features…

Indeed!

Preview button working on Mac Studio M1 Max (was inactive with public release of 3.5).

Enhanced ~10 videos with 4x Iris v2, now my favorite model. Mostly 360p, getting ~ 3 - 3.5fps. not great but worth the wait with enhancements provided by Iris

This could be something good * Automatic parameter estimation now runs on 8 frames instead of 20.

Iris V2 similar to Protues shows a tendency for an “orange skin” on some surfaces, not only on faces and even when set to Auto.
