The AI Processor reverting to Auto seems to be fixed for me, but noticed a small omission during testing.
The Rhea model previews don’t have the parameter suffix like the other models (the first one was Auto, and the second was Manual). Thinking back, I believe the previous betas were the same.
I have just upgraded to this beta version from the previous release and any attempts to export using any profile will result in a ‘Colourspace error’. Never had that before on any other betas when using the upgrade option.
Actually it turns out that this is due to an issue with NVIDIA’s very latest studio driver release (v560.70) which also affects all versions of TVAI not just this beta.
I have rolled back to v555.99 and I don’t get any errors with any TVAI version including betas.
Shrink the size of the window goes too far. It should stop at a size where still all controls are fully visible as it does with Photo AI and Gigapixel accordingly.
When I make changes to the preferences and select save and restart the applications opens in full screen size window next instead of the size it was before.
Download all model files for my dedicated graphics card via the Model Manager takes a serious amount of time even with a fast connection.
During processing Video AI suggested me to update to the new beta. I accepted. It told me it will quite the application and restart it. It did, but after update and restart I got two info lines: the old correct one at 70 % finished was not running but a second one only around 50 % finished started:
Live preview is not playing nicely with portrait mode ios videos, it plays them as if it is unaware of the metadata that states to rotate on playback. Also I can’t seem to independently set the rotation on the preview when using live preview to try and manually compensate either… the video setting options should not be global but possibly be a filter of sorts? (perhaps have an additional filter, like enhancement, interpolation, etc that is for manual-rotation)
But that said, check out the quality difference! Yeah, it is a little plastiquie, but I can fix that with reducing the smoothing relative to auto… but MAN what a huge difference for really low quality junk. It is slow, about 2.1 - 3.2 fps on my 3080 but with results like that for old stuff… I mean come on wowza. You can also see her right arm melt into this white shirt, I assume due to the shadow on it, but still with 1 frame like that hardly noticeable… specially going from SD to 4k.
LOL… I mean this is GREAT quality, but just the turn of a head and a shadow breaks it pretty hard.
*EDIT #2 *
Ok one more because I am impressed this did not mess up. At the end of this insane movie dude man shoots lightning(ish) from his eyes at the aliens and zombies while trying to kill the punk rock band… expected that to mess up really bad.
This latest version cannot run at all on my Windows 11 PC with the latest Caneay Edition. I also have installed an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 with the most recent Game Mode drivers.
However, I downloaded an update yesterday evening and tried it again without success, but didn’t think about reinstalling the Topaz Beta, so I shall do that in a moment.
This Beta forum is for testing and reporting back any issues to the team working on TVAI. If we didn’t test it on the beta editions of operating systems, then what is the point in the end?
I have been using TVAI (including the Alpha & Beta Editions) since very near the original came out. I have also been using the Canary Editions of Windows for a very long time as well. I haven’t had any major issues with either of them, and so far the only program that I have not managed to run on it is the latest TVAI Beta.
The current non-Beta release is working perfectly, so to follow your solution is both pointless and non-productive.
Canary is 2 build channels away from even entering Beta.
It recieves practically ZERO validation and is highly unstable and can cause major issues to your system. Sometimes, you may not be able to use your system after getting an update in the Canary Channel.
Most of the users of TVAI (99.9%) will not be running pre-alpha versions of windows releases.
The beta channel here is for versions of TVAI not windows.
I assume you are a programer or dev to be running canary ?
OTOH, Tony did ask for the build number, which suggests that somewhere in the Topaz offices there’s a system running Canary builds that the devs are tinkering with Topaz apps on.
