Attention: We are planning to replace Chronos and Chronos Fast with APOLLO SOFT if it performs better in almost all cases. Please test the model and let us know your opinion.
Hi, I was testing apollo soft and apollo and I can say that in some cases apollo soft is better than apollo:
Very fast, “nervous” movements.
Panning video on architectural background.
Maybe if would be a good improvement if you could provide a slider to control the amount of softness (=blurriness, I supose). I’m going to upload a folder with a original (very challenging situation because of wind) and processed videos related to (1) (C0043.mp4 and so on)
On both the beta and current release I get screen flickering when opening the program, before even doing anything, I have a RTX 4090, I am not sure what causes it to choke, its as if opening the program made it go into full screen exclusive mode or something as multiple of my monitors go black on and off. Serious issue. Also the NVIDIA overlay notification on the top right lags quite a bit when the program is opened (the same green overlay animation that happens when playing a video or video game)
I basically cannot use the program now. No other program is an issue. I am using latest nvidia drivers. Even moving the window around is very laggy. If it helps I am on W10 with HDR on.
I rarely used the chronos models as they artefact too much for my liking, so I usually default to apollo anyway, I’ll have to finish up a few jobs before I do the un/reinstallation of the beta!
100% back this up as allowing for the end user to tune the model’s effects, would cut down on the number of tuning issues from previous models/betas!
but is because of load that crash? even with low power mode and temps not even hitting 70c the whole computer crash, most of the time not even able to render one minute.
I Install again 2.6.4 and im able to leave it running all night without issues and the temps are much higher.
I find that there is really a quality problem with Themis, I don’t know if it’s me, but the video quality of the rendering is really not great for the moment. Whether it’s a mix of Artemis+Themis or Themis+Gaia HQ, the rendering is horrible at times, it all depends on the original video source. I even sometimes have with certain video sources, a green screen which often flickers with Themis.
I also have a real problem with the Trim for the video, why not want to do the same way as in 2.6.4, you have to move the cursor to the right for the start and for the end to the left if you want select ourselves what we want to trim. It’s quite disturbing for me, why not put a Trim back like in version 2.6.4 which was, in my opinion, better for selecting our passages to trim.
Concerning the audio, why in the video that we want to export, only one audio comes out, whereas originally, there were several audio languages, wouldn’t it be possible to output all the audios at the same time? video export? Question for developers.
In any case, congratulations to you developers, TVEAI 3x is now on the right track, and we all encourage you wholeheartedly. Congratulations again to you for this wonderful software
I think it might be GPU context switching or encoder related. Among others VEAI 264 uses software encoding for output and most of the output choices for 3.x use hardware encoding. Worst case this could be the issue, but reducing the VRAM load on the GPU should help with that as well.
Wait for an alpha next week and hopefully we can figure it out.
I was not yet able to test the new frame interpolation du to the immense time consumption it needs. But an old issue regarding the preivew appeared again where after stopping processing the preview button does not respond anymore.
