I am using VideoAI 5.2.1 on a MacBook Pro 16-inch 2023 (Apple M2 Max) with macOS 14.5.
I noticed that the Topaz Video AI app is not selectable in the “Open With” menu, nor can I drag and drop files to its icon to open them. That slows down the user experience. If I am in Premiere Pro and I want to upscale a clip with VideoAI, I have to:
Reveal the clip in Finder
Open VideoAI
Drag and drop the clip to the VideoAI interface
Also, I cannot use Apple Script, for instance, to automate the opening of that file in VideoAI.
This is not something the dev team has included into the app at this time. You can add it to the Ideas section if you would like them to consider adding this feature.
Dear @kyle.topazlabs , I already gave you my feedback here. Asking me to write the exact same thing on another section of this community is nonsense. I believe Topaz employees are responsible for collecting feedbacks, categorizing them, discussing them with developers and so on.
Adding it to the Ideas section allows other users to vote on it being added into the app so the devs can gauge the interest. This is not a bug of the app as it is not a current feature. I have moved this over to the Ideas section so you do not have to repost it.
