I am asking myself what you are doing when the update is tested 2 days before release ?!?
The Preview is totally out of sync…useless…
The exported files are totally corrupt…not playing at all just some single frames are viewable no motion.
Yesterday i exported 4 files…the first are in filelength ok…the last 2 are double in size…
All 4 files totally corrupt and useless.
In this video you see the first file is from version 3.5.0…the last 4 from yesterday with 3.5.1
I am forced to go back to 3.5.0…
I uploaded the 4 source files that i tried to export and failed.
Today i am exporting with the previous version 3.5.0 again the 4
files…(i just installed 3.5.0 without deinstalling but with deleting
model files)i got just to 2 KI-Error Messages(with file 46 & 47) at the
beginning…and clicked on retrying the calculation…that works.
I think the KI-Error comes from downgrading to 3.5.0 ?! - I think these
KI-Errors won´t come back…should be a kind of one-time error.
The last 2 files will be finished with export in 1 hour…i noticed with
these last 2 that the preview is constantly showing generating
preview…switching to the first 2(file 45 & 48) is showing the preview…
The first 2 files 45 & 48 finished exporting today with 3.5.0 are okay.
But the 3.5.1 needs to be fixed…saw that i am not the only one having
extreme problems with it.
I uploaded “Fluch des Falken - S01E54 - Gefährliches Wissen”
when using video stabilization some weird things are happening looking
at the preview at 1:47
I am also having various issues with 3.5.1. I exported a 127 MB 9-minute WMV file to MP4 with 2x upscale (Iris), constant bitrate of 5MB/s. The output file was 16.7 GB with a length of 68 hours.
Another mp4 video I upscaled from 360p to 4K, and the conversion froze at 59% with estimated completion time of 52 minutes remaining (no error given). I’ve upscaled videos in this same series countless times with TVAI, so I know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my computer. Issue is totally with Topaz. Usually they finish in less than an hour.
Overall, I’ve seen a general decrease in performance. Many things are slower.
With release 3.5.1, the combination Iris2 + Stabilization + Upscaling (SD to HD, 25 to 30 fps) does not work. After a longer time than expected, it produces a poor quality jerky output. At least on 2 videos I have processed successfully with previous release 3.3.9.
