Topaz Video 2025 1.0.1 Not Saving Workspaces Folder Preference

On Windows 11 with OneDrive, after setting the Workspaces Folder preference to a specific directory, exiting and opening the application, the Workspaces Folder reverts back to C:\Users[userID]\OneDrive\Documents\Topaz Video Projects. There is no need to sync this folder to online storage. Please save user preferences as the window button is “Save”.

This problem is back. It was corrected before creating a new project to the new desired directory (not onedrive). Now, this process won’t change the default workspace directory. \

This is not just a cosmetic change. When all topaz work files get written to one drive we get repeated message of files uploading and then later deleted.

Please provide the method to fix the default workspace directory in Topaz Video 1.0.1 (2025)

This is worse. Even with the application set to use a different (non-default) directory and deleting the default directory, rendering preview clips will result in the default directory being created and used.

Please support having a custom Workspaces Folder location.

Thanks.

Hey :waving_hand: Topaz Video engineer here. Sorry to hear the workspace selection preference is not working as expected. I’m working on a fix for the next version.

Would you mind providing your application logs so I can take a further look?

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

@bobjames33 would appreciate your logs as well.

Thank you!

Am using v1.0.4 and have the issue of not saving to my preferrred folder on my Win 11 laptop. Apologies if this known and being worked on, but couldnt see it being mentioned for this version. Thanks - PS would have added logs but couldnt see how - sorry

Update - it is saving to the correct (sub)folder but in preferences > export folder it only shows the lead folder not the subfolder where I would wish to save.

I have since found that if I save a project, the folder setting is maintained. This appears to be an issue where there is no project. As I mostly deal with unique cases, I have no need to save a project.
