I like Topaz and use it several hours a day but it crashes from time to time for no apparent reason
I use Topaz daily. Since the update to 2.1.4, my system (Windows 11 64bbit) crashes often, but only when running the new Topaz 2.1.4. I never had issues prior to this with other versions. The crash always occurs when the statis indicator says recovering faces. It doesn’t always crash, but usually on the first time the program is loaded causing a whole system reboot.
Try installing 2.2, see if that fixes it. If not you can roll back to a previous version.
Do you have a graphics card?
I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
That could be your problem, seems quite an old gpu.
AI needs a lot of memory
Are your preferences on Topaz set to gpu only, auto seems to default to the cpu.
You using the latest studio drivers on your gpu?
