For your question on the watermark, at the moment this is only for the Topaz Labs-specific watermark for CAITA compliance. However, we do have a feature request with the development team for the ability to add a personal watermark. I’ve added your contact information to that ticket so we can reach out if this becomes available in the future!
Can you send to support@topazlabs.com your Logs and System Profile, and we can see what can be causing an issue, as this would be the first report we get for any issues with Remove v2. Once we get your files, we can troubleshoot and open an item with the development team.
Is there some limit to how many objects can be removed? I’ve noticed that removing more than two or three objects sometimes causes the app to crash with no error messages. This didn’t happen with the old Photo AI app.
BTW, this isn’t a new thing with 1.7.0, it’s been there since 1.6.1.
Which tool are you using? Remove or the Spot Healing Tool?
There isn’t a specific limit on the number of objects you can remove. How much you can process at once can depend on factors such as the amount of available memory, the image size, and the size of the areas being removed.
It also can’t be directly compared to Photo AI. Topaz Photo uses different Remove models — Remove v1 and v2 with v2 providing improved results, while Photo AI also did not have the Spot Healing Tool.
It’s Remove, and I’m removing objects. Doesn’t seem to matter what kind of image or what size object, just the number of them. Also doesn’t seem to be a problem when removing areas with the brush.
Didn’t have this problem until Photo 1.6.0. Initially, 1.6.0 would say “error running model” when I tried to select Remove. 1.6.1 resolved that, as long as I don’t try to remove a lot of objects. So I do two or three, export, then open the exported image and remove more, rinse, repeat, etc., until I get them all. Or if there’s a lot, just go back to Photo AI for the removal and then use Photo for the rest.
I got an email notice from Topaz today reminding me that my Studio subscription will automatically renew on 2026/10/5 and I will be charged $173.76. I am having a very, very hard time justifying continuing at this price. I have Photo and Gigapixel, although I pretty much just use Photo. And even Photo I just use from time to time. I still, of course, have the last non-subscription versions: Photo AI 4.0.4 and Gigapixel AI 8.4.4. Yes, there have been a few improvements over the last year, currently Photo 1.7.0, but I am not sure how much difference I really see with it. Just mulling over what to do. How much is it for only Photo if I drop Gigapixel?
Anyone else trying to figure out what to do? I just think the price is way too high for my limited use particularly since I still have the old non-subscription versions.
Sorry to hear you might leave us I for one will miss you and wish you luck for the future if you do.
Originally as a Founder member if you kept or had one app in your plan for you that would be Topaz Photo you will only have access to that app and retain your original upgrade price depending on if you had Auto-Renewal turned on or off between $84 and $120.
Have a quick word with the good people at Topaz Support for options and a solution
@Tostanica-fezanamu - Right now, the renewal you have is for Studio at Founder Pricing, which includes all of our apps: our three desktop apps, web apps, and the mobile app. You can access everything included on your Apps Page.
If you find that you’re really only using Topaz Photo, you don’t necessarily need to keep the full Studio subscription. You can reach out to our Accounts team at support@topazlabs.com, and they can look at your account and switch your renewal to Topaz Photo only at your applicable Founder Pricing.
Alternatively, if you don’t find yourself using or needing the newer models added in Topaz Photo: Adjust Lighting v3, Denoise Max, Dust and Scratch v2, Grain, Healing Tool, Recover Faces v3, Remove v2, three new Sharpen models (Noise-Aware, Portrait, and Wildlife), Super Focus v3, three new Upscale models (High Fidelity v3, Recover v3, and Standard Max), and Wonder v1, v2, v3, and v3.5, then you may not need to renew a subcription at all.
Your legacy apps are still yours to use. If those give you everything you need for the amount you use them, you can simply cancel the Studio renewal from your Subscription page and continue using your legacy versions. There’s no need to renew for more than what is useful to you.
Yes, in many cases (this one included) Wonder 2 fares better, that’s why I tend to use this model for such drawings, to ‘pull off’ the intended pencil lines in the art, but without changing the style of it.
Glad Wonder v2 is working best for your needs! All Wonder versions remain available since, depending on the image and the result you’re looking for, a specific version may be better suited than another.
If you want to share examples where Wonder v2 gives you better results than v3 or v3.5, feel free to send the original files and exported examples from each version to support@topazlabs.com, along with details on what elements of v2 you prefer over v3 or v3.5. We can relay those specific use cases to the Development team as feedback to help improve future updates.
