Topaz Photo v1.6.0 - Recover Faces 3, Sharpen - Noise-Aware, & NeuroServer Model Speed Ups

Thanks for reporting this. I’ve added some optimization for Wonder3 and tested up to 192 MP on a 16 GB card. It works without compromising any speed. It should be available in the next minor update.

Thank you very much!!!

We are actively working on improving first run initialization time as well as over all initialization time. We made some good progress. You should able to see the difference in both Topaz Photo and Gigapixel in the next minor update.

Will the optimisation made for Denoise Max too?

And for when is the update planned?

@Harald.De.Luca - glad to have it installed. For your Denoise models question, there was always only 3 models before, none were taken away, and a 4th one was added, Denoise Max.

@pasquale.valletta - Does the issue still occur if you run a repair by rerunning the installer from your Apps Page? If so, can you send your app logs to support@topazlabs.com and we can have a look at what error is in them: Help, Open Logs folder, send all logs.

And what about the “remove tool” error in the model?

I’m not the only one. Thankfully.

We would need your logs sent to support@Topazlabs.com to have a look!

It’s for Denoise Max and Super Focus V3 as well. No specific timeline for an update yet.

A post was split to a new topic: Login Seat behavior to match Topaz Gigapixel

Thank you for all the hard work you guys put in.

I just have one question, is the face recover 3 primarily meant for portraits? Should I still use Recover Face 2 (for situations where the face is not the primary focus)?

According to the documentation, version 2 would be more suitable for multiple faces.

I did forget about the Quadro RTX 5000.
Will its hardware ID included into neuroserver?
Or is it end of Support?
Its like a RTX 2080, but with 16GB memory.

@jason-2269 Harald is correct, since v3 is more memory intensive and longer processing, especially if its multiple faces per image, can test v2 first and find what works best for results vs time processing etc for your files needs

This was relayed to the development team and they are looking into this. Will circle back once supported for Neuroserver.

Can you run DenoiseMax, Wonder2/3, or SuperFocus3 using this GPU? If you can run it, then this warning is just cosmetic; saying “Quadro RTX 5000” doesn’t match because we have “NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000” in our support list.

Thanks.

Let say i would get a Blackwell Pro RTX 5000 (48GB).

Will it work right away or do you need to insert the ID of this GPU too?

Denoise Max did throw “Error Model”.
In the log i did find the mention that the GPU is not supported via ID.

Hifi V2 did work fine.

For the Quadro, it will affect all Neuroserver models for that machine. They opened an item to support it for Neuroserver.

The development team suggests to wait till we write in for a fix for the Quadro before getting the Blackwell. Will contact you once a fix released.
