Yeah, this I know… I’m just a bit unsure of how compatible that auto-renewal thing is with adding a possible Black Friday deal. My PAI currently runs out November 27th. which actually look like it puts my auto-renewal before Black Friday which Google (A swede in Spain with to much on his mind need to look that stuff up ) tells me happens on November 29th this year… after my auto-renewal.
my guess would be that if Topaz does run a special, it would be for only 1 yr and discounted off of the $119/y price.
I noticed that as well… don’t really understand why, as for me Paypal is the “go to” solution for me when it comes to subscriptions.
Last year in December month they offered HOLIDAY CASH, it cost me 49.00 ( 72 Au ) to upgrade, auto renew will cost 121 AU after discount.
I really love it how the Topazlabs servers behaves under pressure… I remember having similar problems back in February when I got GAI for $7:
I’m gonna let this one be for a bit and hope it’ll solve itself eventually…
Edit: I know - one of the screenshots is from GAI, but now that we’re already talking about this auto-renewal thing here I thought I’d keep the GAI thread clean.
Sounds like someone needs to sweeten the deals for everyone!
Quick update, I was playing around and it seems like the preserve text function is only processing using my cpu instead of using my gpu. This is happening in both 3.2.2 and the latest beta 3.3.0.2b, reverting to 3.2.0 fixes it and it processes it at the normal speed. Anybody else noticing this?
I believe you may need to read the Changelog notes. Are you running Win?
On my system I’m noticing that Preserve Text seems to be ignoring the selection and applying itself to the whole image. That would make things slower.
Is anyone else getting this behaviour?
EDIT: Added logs:
2024-10-02-09-37-49.tzlog (326.2 KB)
EDIT2: Reverted to version 3.2.1 and found that has the same problem. Then tried the previous beta version 3.2.0.3b and found that works as expected (applies Preserve Text to just the selected area).
This could be affecting the new beta 3.3.0.2b, but I won’t be checking that because my licence has expired and I won’t be renewing for now.
The changelog isn’t very clear, but I think this statement only relates to the new Super Focus model in the beta.
Usually comments on beta are only posted in beta forum. There are various things being posted/discussed in that pre-release thread that require attention.
I was under the impression that note was only for the new Super Focus model, regardless I’m getting the same issue in this new 3.2.2 non beta release anyway, it works as intended in 3.2.0 I was just mentioning I was noticing the issue in the beta too. And yeah I’m on Win11 Pro with a 4090
I was only replying to your reply to alexb about the beta changelog notes. No more than that.
Just FYI…
wrote support about this one today, and in their reply there was also a comment about the offer (the extra discount) is extended until October 10th
An email for it came in for me at the 11th hour and the link in the email got me there as well.
Oddly, the website gives no option to extend the subscription for Photo AI, only an option to buy 2 more seats.
Thanks for this. An auto-renew email for Photo AI finally came in for me at the 11th hour and the direct link in the email got me there.
Oddly, the My Products page has no ‘Extend 1 Year’ link for Photo AI, only a link to ‘Buy More Seats’ which does not lead to an auto-renew option. With Gigapixel AI and Video AI all I had to do to set up auto-renew was click the ‘Extend 1 Year’ links. Didn’t occur to me the question mark would lead anywhere except online help. I was expecting all three to work the same.
Maybe it is different because it was originally a free extra on the Gigapixel AI + Sharpen AI + DeNoise AI bundle.
This is the way. I find the default sharpening is too crunchy and there’s no apparent way to change it without adjust EVERY INDIVIDUAL picture I send. Makes bulk editing completely useless.
The preset stuff is totally broken still from several versions ago. The only improvement now I see is I can create a new preset, but you cannot apply it. I guess that’s progress. All my old presets still work.
Also, can one day we actually get a face “fix” feature that works? How com cheap android apps can provide higher resolution, actual face detail fixes better than this expensive PC app? Facetune, Super image and others, all can fix things like wonky eyes and nostrils, bad detail in lips, clean up teeth. At at decent 5000px resolutions or higher. I just don’t get it why this applications is at least a generation behind here.
I’m shocked that this feature actual still degrades most faces vs any sort of a real improvement. With a high detail photo, this feature only seems to blur the features in eyes and lips. I have never once seen an example (here or on my own) that shows an improvement.
One othe feature in this app that also broken since Version 2: The ability to select all images and apply the current settings from the image you are viewing… YES… you can do 1 time… but after that? You have to close all image, reload and do again if you wish to apply the setting.
Between that and presets being totally broken, super annoying if you are trying to work on 10+ images at once. Make sure you get it right first time
