Topaz Photo AI image rotation, minimization to taskbar issues

There are two issues I am running into with Topaz Photo AI 2.3.0. I am running Windows 11, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.

  1. Portrait-oriented .dng images shot on my Pixel 3XL are rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise when imported.
  2. When I minimize TPAI to the taskbar, often it will not reopen when I click the icon. I am forced to close it from the taskbar and then restart it.

Thank you.

Hi There,

Thanks for that information; based on your sys profile, your computer is more than capable of handling the processing with no issue

I suspect the problem might have been a bad update installer, I recommend you uninstall the app completely and reinstall with the link below; this will get you a new license for 2.3.0

“My Products" page:

If the issue persists, then it’s likely a bug in the update version itself, which, in that case, I’ve provided the 2.2 version below for you to revert to!

Topaz Photo AI V2.2 windows

Please let us know if you’re experiencing any other issues with the 2.3 version so we can inform our developers and get that issue patched

Cheers,

Thank you for the reply. I uninstalled and reinstalled TPAI. It still displays the .dng image I tried the same way. I tried opening it in three other Topaz apps: Gigapixel AI (6.3.3), Sharpen AI (4.1.0), and DeNoise AI (3.7.2). It displays it landscape in those as well. Photoshop and Affinity also open it landscape. I checked it via Properties in Windows, and it says the Width is 3,008 and the Height is 4,016. The Windows Photo Viewer displays it in portrait mode, which is what I expected. I am uploading the image file for you to examine. Perhaps it has a malformed header or something.
