Topaz Photo AI 2.1.2 Autopilot not choosing to Sharpen when needed

Topaz Photo AI 2.1.2 on MacBook with M3 Pro on Sonoma 14.1.1

  1. In Autopilot preferences > Sharpen I chose “Enable when detected blur is” “Low (soft) and above”.

  2. Dragged files from Finder to TPAI and it processed them in batch.

  3. Reviewing the images in the filmstrip, the Sharpening toggle is false.

  4. Hovering over Sharpening, it says “Autopilot detected Medium blur in this image”. Yet it did not apply Sharpening.

This happened to quite a few images in a batch (I did not count) which means the time spent in batch processing was somewhat wasted, since I need to manually select Sharpening and reprocess.

I see a note that this occurred before, and was said to be fixed, I think in 2.1.0.
