PC running windows 10. The Topaz photo AI plug in has stopped working again. I reported a similar problem with 2.0.1 on Sept 20. At that time, the problem was solved the issue by replacing an old 8bf file on the PC with a current one from the Topaz web site. This time when I checked the latest 8bf file (11/2/2023 227kB) is already installed on my PC.
The symptoms are exactly the same as before with the message “error: plug-in has crashed”. I am sure it was working fine with the previous Topaz Photo AI release (2.0.7) last week.
Having the same problem - Affinity Photo version 2.2.1. I have re-downloaded -repair - but still is not working. I don’t even get the splash screen.
I thus cannot reach Topaz from Affinity, but it will run on its own. Older Topaz plugins such as Sharpen 4.1.0 run without problem.
This is not helping Topaz reputationally.
Same here - plug in crashed from affinity photo 2.2.1.
tried re-boot
tried rasterising the layer
still crashes…
Im not quite sure whats changed …
ok - something happened after the last update to Photo Ai i did around 4 November.
I just ran ‘repair the app’ from the windows menu, rebooted, and it now seems to be ok. Strange.
