Steps to reproduce issue:

Topaz Photo AI [v1.x.x] on [Windows/Mac]
Will not save image back to photoshop if using upscaling within photoshop but will save back to Lightroom.

That is correct. v1.4.1 should flag that up to you.

This is fixed in v1.4.1 and v1.4.2. Please update and you can save out of Photoshop again.
