when I am using Topaz Gigapixel AI (currently running 8.0.0), sometimes (maybe 1 out of 100 images) Topaz creates one (or two) weird black holes in the upscaled image.
I am mainly using Gigapixel in the batch mode, upscaling 4x times and using the “auto” settings for basic models and model settings.
The problem did also appear with previous versions 7.4.x for example)
Here is a sample of the problem:
The first PNG file is the original, the second JPG is the upscaled result from Gigapixel with artifacts in it:
Here is a screenshot from the Gigapixel interface, where you can clearly see that the original image in the top right corner is intact and the close-up preview on the left creates the artifact:
I am also experiencing the same issue when using “Standard V2”. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue and if so, what have you done to rectify it? Thank you
I noticed that you could actually see these graphical errors before exporting your image. I tried toggling the “gamma correction” on and off, and it seems the artefact disappears when it is turned off when using the Standard V2 model. Has anyone else noticed this difference?
I stand corrected, in this image, the Gamma Correction does not seem to make a difference. The only noticeable change is that with Gamma Correction on in this image, it made the graphical error slightly less noticeable.
