I am now unable to export video files due to “recoverable” error when exporting (Topaz goes through the motions successfully but fails at the end of the process because it cannot save the file).
This is because all backslashes in the file path (my system is Windows) are inexplicably changed to forward slashes by Topaz, resulting in the failure.
This was not always the case! It is a new problem. I have tried checking the registry, and Topaz keeps altering those settings every time it is started. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Topaz Video to no avail.
Please help!

Hi Margaux, thanks for your response. Can you CLOSE this report please. I have resolved the issue. I kept experimenting and discovered that the forward slash that appears in the file path after clicking “Export” is NOT material when it comes to successfully exporting a file. I have since done it four times without error (even with forward slashes inexplicably showing in the export file path), but then again with an error on a particular file. Then again successfully with a new file afterwards. The file that was giving me trouble was a rip of a DVD rip. Others do not cause issues. PS: I was only deinterlacing with Dione DV, no other processing; and I have been able to deinterlace the problem file with another program. Thanks, Ron
