It took a long time from alq10 to alq13. May I ask which generation has the Topaz alq model been updated to now? What is the approximate update frequency for upgrading to the next level in the future? Because among many updates during this period, the alq model is what I am most concerned about. Other models are all very poor. For example, there was one that seemed to be called iris before.Is it still alq13 now? Or has it been updated? What are the improvements? I have been looking for answers on the forum for a long time but couldn’t find them.

Artemis is still in the app and the low quality version 13 is still available. There has not been an update to that model at this time for the low quality parameters.
The research team has been working on some newer models with the input provided by users on the older models and have released Rhea and another model that is still in beta testing at this time.
The frequency of models being released is based on the research teams findings and training of the models. Then they are added into Alpha builds of the app for internal testing before moving onto Beta testing with users. Some models take longer to fine tune and release so there is not a hard set timeline of updates for them.

The latest version still doesn’t have an upgrade for the ALQ model. Instead, other models have been updated. However, after trying the new model and comparing it with ALQ, I found that it is even more blurry. I’m very curious about why this is the case. Just like with Topaz Photo AI next door. Compared to the old version from last year, the pictures processed by the old AI version are clearer than the latest version in 2024. I also posted in the Photo AI section. Shouldn’t Topaz be committed to improving picture quality? Why, after so many updates, is there still no improvement in the most important picture quality? Instead, only UI and other details are fixed. There is really no motivation to update like this.
