I have a Nikon Z9 and when I use my 85mm f1.2 at f1.2 for portraits, Topaz AI 2.0 over sharpens for my tastes in autopilot. I am wondering if others have made the same observation. Also, pictures with many faces in the distant background are distorted because T AI is trying to recover those far away faces when I run a batch.

Thanks for your feedback about the Sharpen models. We’re continuously improving the AI models based on user insights. In the meantime, you can change the default model strength in the Autopilot settings.

For Face Recovery, you can go to the Preferences > Autopilot > Face Detection > Subject Only. This will make sure it doesn’t try to recover the faces in the background.
