Topaz 3.5.1 not progressing processing or preview - tried multiple settings

Since the update to 3.5.1. multiple files are not processing. The videos start encoding but the preview freezes and no % progress is displayed or also freezes. Spent 3 hours with no progress. Have tried upscaling various video formats, apart from trivial Artemis upscaling of 360p, nothing has worked.

Previous versions all worked fine whether progressive, interlaced or smoothing. Have uninstalled and re-installed. Cannot try 3.5.0 as no access to a roll back (that would really help!).

My system is Windows 11, Pentium I7 (12th Generation) with NVIDIA RTX 3060 and 16 Gb RAM.

Logs and screenshot attached. Please help!

Similar issue on 3.5.1 when converting a frame rate, starts processing then stalls part way through and doesn’t complete, or completes with a corrupt file after a long delay.

Windows 10 Pro - Intel Xeon Gold, NVIDIA 4060 Ti and 128GB Ram.

I have the same issue, it shows no Live Preview, and no file is finalized, but i do have a processing counter.

solution: uninstall 3.5.1.
find 3.5.0 here and install it: Releases - Topaz Community
problem solved!
(just skip updating until topaz increments past 3.5.1)

Well, i tried 3.5.2 and it did not fix the issue.

I have V3.52 and it’s the same thing
just shows 0s (59448.4fps) 7% completed
I’ve tried many things…

I DID get it to work when I JUST used the Upscale to HD Resolution preset BUT

That’s because on that setting NOTHING is enabled no stabilization, no motion deblur and no frame interpolation, just enhancement with proteus

Hello everyone,

We’ve seen a few reports like this one where users saw processing issues after updating to 3.5.2. It seems that some users will need to follow these steps to reset and reinstall version 3.5.4 of Video AI:

How to Clear Your Topaz Labs Registry Entries (Windows)

After this installation, future in-app updates should work as expected.

Hello,

Just to confirm it now works with 3.5.3. and 3.5.4. will keep testing.

Thanks everyone.
