Top hair not generated when face recovery is used on old pictures

I use Topaz photo to restore old pictures. Most of the time Topaz generate a correct face and the begining of the hair on the person’s front but not on the top of the head. The final third of the head remains as the original picture.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 Face recovery.

I join examples. I have exagerated the one with face recovery to show the problem.

Hi. The problem you’re experiencing isn’t a fault, its expected behaviour with Topaz Photo AI’s Face Recovery, I believe this is the same for any facial recognition software.

You’ll have to process two separate images, one with Face Recovery applied and the other one without Face Recovery and only Sharpening applied, then blend the two together with your preferred imaging software.
