I’m really tired of having to uninstall — reinstall. Constantly every other session of using Topaz Photo AI. Eventually it gets stuck and will not continue. I end up trying everything from hard stopping it in ‘Task-Manager’… then eventually realize that it will not work again on restart. Then eventually I realize that nothing I do will work. I try rebooting…nope. It seems to get into a ‘funk’. Then I uninstall it. And completely reinstall it. Oh that works. But when it does work… It is Golden! Then seems to be a constant battle.
I have had the times where it is putting Extra eyes on people… or a funny one recently where it put glasses on a person who didn’t have them. But for the most part I love it.
Does this problem only happen to AMD people? Is that it.
Next time the application stops working send me the logs.
Open Topaz Photo AI, go to the menu bar on the top and click the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Attach the logs files that you can see in the window that opens.
It sounds like your graphics card may be having an issue running Topaz Photo AI. What GPU are you using and have you updated the graphics driver recently?
AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Driver:
AMD Windows Driver Version: 31.0.12029.10015
Windows Version: 22H2
I haven’t had a problem in a few days. And I finished a photo set. but I also reverted versions (its currently on ver. 1.4.0). I also haven’t rebooted the computer in many days or even closed Topaz in many days. I just hybernate the computer at night. I will let you know the next time I have a problem.
I will re-upgrade again. I will see if there is an update for my graphics card. I’m don’t like to update it… I’ve learned when your happy with the ‘Graphics Card’ driver. It’s not a good idea to rock the boat. Updating the GPU driving can cause more problems than it solves. I’ve never been an early an adopter of GPU updates.
